I hate the take on baker. Nobody expected allen to go 1 overall and baker brought us our first playoff win in decades

This dude knows as much about football as I do astrophysics.

Wow! This guy is fantastic at 2020 hindsight. No analysis of the salary cap situations, no mention that Patrick was panned by nearly every pundit and coach in the NFL, no mention of Trav’s and Tyreek’s issues on and off the field in their early years. Coach Reed is a genius at developing a game plan to fit the talents of his players. All three of the Chief’s players he mentioned have praised Big Red and all three have admitted that no other NFL coach recognized their uniqueness or was genius enough to build around them. I can’t speak for other situations, but as a Kansas City guy, I remember how poorly respected Texas Tech’s air raid offense was by the NFL. I remember all the yards we were penalized at critical points in games because of Travis’ inability to control his emotions. I remember the legal issues in the media for Tyreek. Those things got other great players kicked off the team, but Andy saw the potential where others couldn’t.

If my bears couldn't develop trubisky who was serviceable at best, what makes you think we'd be able to develop mahomes? Kansas City was literally the perfect spot for him to go to

Tyreek was not doubted because of shortness he was kicked out of Oklahoma State for domestic Abuse

To me it was the Cowboys drafting Taco Charleston one pick before TJ Watt. Baker was the Heisman winner and was always considered the 1st pick that draft. In fact most experts considered it to be a gamble to draft Allen as high as the bills did

As a giants fan, I'm sad we missed out on Tua and Herbert, but Andrew Thomas is one of the best tackles in the league

As a Eagles fan, the Jalen Reagor pick hurt at the moment. But if you think about it, if the Eagles picked Justin Jefferson, we would have a very talented WR, sure, but if we picked JJETAS, we wouldn’t have gotten Davonta Smith and AJ Brown. Two of the best WR in the game. And personally, I would rather have two elite receivers than one future hall of famer receiver. So at the time, that pick hurt. But now it isn’t so bad after all!

These are such bad takes. It's easy to look at a draft years down the road and call a team stupid for passing on players that turned out great. Mahomes was a reach at the time for Chiefs and he just happened to turn into what he is, it was more of a shock at the time that the Chiefs selected him there than anything. Justin Jefferson is the only legit take here, he was clearly best available wr st the time, bad decision for the eagles. Baker was better on paper than allen, allen again was a reach at the time. Just bad takes all around cherry picking decisions that nobody could see at the time. Your opinion, just a bad one.

Andrew thomas is a top 5 tackle now and it seems like danny dimes is working out so I think it was a good pick

Dude Andrew thomas is elite, and it was after Daniel jones’ rookie year, so they didn’t need a qb

I don’t think people realize how hard drafting actually is, this guy is calling teams stupid for not knowing how good a player will be in 10 years.

The baker take was bad. He was fine and gave the organization a direction. Im a ravens fan and i respect baker. He played injured bcs the franchise asked him to. Its not on him that his franchise betrayed him. The browns praised him and stabbed him in the back in the same sentence.

Cleveland also had #4 pick that same year, and Allen was picked way after that too. But, Browns did pick Denzel Ward with that #4 pick and Nick Chubb in round 2, so, they still had a pretty good draft that year.

Baker looked really good in his first year and that 2020 season wouldn’t call him a complete bust

He rlly wasn’t a bust, and nobody expected Mahomes to be so good

Baker is now on the buccaneers and led them to a playoff win just like he did with the browns, he could win a second playoff game with the buccaneers.

I think that the Baker pick wasn't a bust. He played really well in 18, 19, and 20. It was just the bad 21 season and now his career is a dump. And I'm sorry, they were never going to draft Lamar. Brady would've left right then and there. Billcheck thought he could resign Brady. If you're given the option to try to keep Brady on the team for a little while longer or Micheal Vick 2.0, you're taking Brady all day. And Sony Micheal just had that one bad injury. He was fantastic in 18 and 19. The right pick should've been Chubb if they wanted a stud running back.
