Why was it so controversial? It’s not like they’re forcing this method on the condemned. It’s by choice only. Unless of course the controversy is in whether or not the inmate even deserves a choice, but I’m thinking that is not the direction that this debate went.

I used to be all for the death penalty but until we got a 100% way of knowing everyone is actually guilty I don’t think anyone should be sentenced to death. II bet we have killed a lot of innocent people in the past i dont know what the answer is but I hope we figure it out.

If someone has been found guilty of murder they should be put to death the same way the killed the other person - eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.

This is just another option as far as the manner of death the inmate may select. We’ll see how many will opt for this method soon enough.
