Seljuk empire was formed because of kipchak-cuman hegemony in central asia. After the decline of Khazar empire that was pressured from oghuz union, kipchak union and russian principalities, oghuz turkic folks and kipchaks became rivals. Seljuk empire formed because kipchak-cuman coalition made them to leave cental asia.
