I had a ‘14 Porsche Caymen S, then a 2016 BMW M6 and now this new Vette with all the goodies. The Vette sits perfect between those two cars. I was looking at higher priced exotics but how do you justify 2-4 times more for those cars with almost similar stats? McLaren is obviously faster on track with room to hit higher speeds but how often would you actually be able to do that?

they are succeeding with the C8R IMSA race car, as well. first year with a brand new platform and they've won every sprint style race. their competition includes the 911, btw. GM knocked it out of the park.

I think the new vet is bad ass. I would totally buy one for the price. They look like they would cost double what they are. Once I get the kids out of the house I will own one, one day!

Can't wait till the C8 comes to Australia in right hand drive. For the Mazda CX5, my VF2 Holden Commodore is much more fun to drive & more practical.

I appreciate that you did not take the Vette on gravel roads or rocky trails. You can do a great review without doing things to vehicles that most owners of those vehicles would never consider. Bravo!

I know msrp is low but dealers have a large mark up right now. My dad's comes at the end of the month and it has a 16k mark up. Excited to see it in person

The better question to ask is whether the C8 or BMW M4, AMG C-Class, or Audi RS5. All three are in the C8 price range, but the C8 is the only one that can deliver a mid-engine V8 targa top experience.
