Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'm a 67 year old woman who replaced the ignitor on my furnace. My son, family and friends are quite impressed that I did it on my own. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for taking the time to make these great videos to educate us. You saved me $250!

I never comment but thank you so much. Company tried to charge me $5, 500 to replace a control board, igniter, and capacitor. I bought all the parts for $150!

Watched a few of your videos and was able to pin point issue to bad igniter and just replaced that and everything worked as expected. Your channel definitely helped saved a few hundred or more bucks reading other comments. Thank you.

I’ve never commented before but I am a long time fan! Just wanted to let you know you saved me $1700 today (repair estimate from techs)! Two different techs (mostly) misdiagnosed the problem when it only needed a $30 igniter which I put in myself using your video. ( One minor thing: I had to strip and pigtail the wires because the connector didn’t fit—wasn’t entirely sure whether it mattered which wire on the igniter went to black and which to white. Ended up just taking a guess. Anyway it worked! lol)

I just want to say that I’m a renter.
And my heater stop working 3 weeks ago. My landlord has been told and hasn’t send someone to fix it.
I took matters in my hands and decided to at least try to fix the issue… three videos later and a my husband doubting me. I was able to get my heater back on. I’m not freezing anymore. 🙏 you are a blessing to a lot of people.
Thank you very much for all of your videos. 🙏❤️

Absolutely fantastic video, my guy! Informative, educational, well spoken, no bs. No stupid intro scene or music. No fluff and making people wait to the end to find out the solution. I wish more DIY home videos were like this. You're saving people money, man. Keep doing what you're doing!

Thank you for such a detailed explanation. I replaced my ignitor myself. When I was quoted $400 I did it myself for $60. Much appreciated!

Thanks so much for this video. It is a super clear explanation of how an ignitor works and how to troubleshoot it. My furnace was not making heat and I was on the verge of looking for an HVAC company to come out and fix it but that would have undoubtedly cost me hundreds of dollars and days of delay. This video showed me that my ignitor was bad and I was able to fix it myself. I used a voltmeter to confirm that AC was reaching the ignitor and that the resistance of the ignitor was zero. My furnace is a Trane and I was only getting a max of about 3.5 volts AC before it stepped down to 1.2 volts. The repair was actually quite simple, just replace the ignitor. Thanks again for this excellent video!!! You're a rock star!!!

I've been through so many of your videos over the last 6 hours trying to figure out my furnace problems, and they're all fantastic and easy to follow. Everything was in working condition, as you described, but the ignitor never started glowing. I was about ready to throw in the towel and call someone when the wife suggests, "Maybe the thermostat needs new batteries." And after I've taken your entire video crash course to become an HVAC expert, the problem was 2 dying batteries. I just assumed all thermostats were hardwired.

Thank you for the videos. I had a quote for $200 to replace my furnace ignitor. I watched your videos and I purchased an ignitor from Amazon for $40. I actually replaced it myself. Took me about 30 minutes to complete the job since I cleaned the sensor as well. You saved me $160 and I learned something new.
