Lets not forget how kratos fell off Gaia at the beginning of the game but he had the WINGS that have been show through out the game to actually help him

Actually the reason for why they didn't team up on Kratos at once; there were like a ton of Titans protecting him and Gaia. We see in the background that Hades, Helios and Poseidon all go and fight the Titans.

Well don’t forget she is a goddess of wisdom but she is also a god a war like her brother Aries. Where Aries represents the chaos of war death, destruction, fire, etc. Athena represents the noble parts of war like honor, tactical strength, and discipline. So when she died not only did wisdom leave the world so did honorable war.

Kratos: Didn't I just off Hades?😐
Hephaestus: Your point? I'm bigger than you.🙄
Kratos: So was Hades.😑

Athena is also a God of War in Greek mythology like Aries. Apparently while Aries was more for combat and brutality, Athena was for combat but only if necessary to defense.

Athena’s death literally made Kratos from a somewhat violent but tragic and honorable warrior to a god-killing massacre of a man. The entirety of GoW 3 was just him going postal on the gods. With Athena’s death, the intelligence and reasoning of Kratos revenge against Zeus turned into a vendetta that ended up killing many people and gods.

I also believe the consequence of her death evolved her into something… more.
As a Goddess of Wisdom, she is able to comprehend that which few others can. The green light that breaks through her body and later becomes part her very soul is the same as the light of the rift in Asgard.
Wherever that rift goes to is she where went upon death. Where she learned many things. Including the need to kill Zeus and take Hope for herself. The knowledge corrupted her.
I think the rift leads to an Eldritch Horror dimension. The home of the Elder Gods and Great Ones. Because of how mysterious and unknowable it is. Only gods of wisdom could comprehend the madness of it all. Or those with artifacts like the mask.
GOW could grow into something that would have Kratos and Atreus face the likes of Cthulhu and Dagon. With Athena attempting to usurp their powers and rule the world.
We may see Kratos gather allies. Gods of War from foreign lands that lend their strength and armies against beings of pure chaos. Perhaps in a return to Greece where Athena first ascended.

I always assumed that because she’s the goddess of wisdom that once she died, all the humans instantly became dumb

Wait, this is a joke? I thought this was always the Canon?

This would also explain the sudden character change in Kratos in Gow 2 as the green stuff fades from Athena and she dies. First he says “I do not seek to destroy Olympus, only Zeus.” Not even a minute later after Athena dies he suddenly changes his mind. “If all on Olympus will deny me my vengeance, then all on Olympus will die. I have lived the in the shadow of the gods for long enough. The time of the gods has come to an end.”
