This was one of those projects, that ended up on the shelf collecting dust for months. I had the idea more than a year ago but I wasn't sure where to go with it. But one night I pulled myself together and started prioritizing what shots needed the most work and tried to tie everything together again.
I know there are so many things I could improve on the project, but I want to move on from it now and publish it as it is. I hope you enjoy it.

So even though, I did not have a clear vision for the project in the beginning I ended up having a finished project and a lot of learned lessons on how to structure and plan out an animated short.

It's rendered on a GTX 1070 using cycles. The render time per frame was 5-6 minutes for the outdoor scenes and 1-2 minutes for the studio scenes. I think if I had been working on it intensely in my spare time, I would have been able to finish it in a couple of months. The rocks in the start of the film were created in Houdini and exported to Blender. The same is the case for most of the dust and volumetric effects in the short.

This is way more interesting to look at than most car commercials, despite the title. It shows the car being magically assembled in weird and satisfying ways. Then, the section to show off speed feels way faster because of the excellent animation and camera angles.

There are a lot of elements who makes my brain think it as a hot wheels car.
→ Camera moves too fast 0:23 0:25 1:01 (This hurts the most)
→ Lens aperture 0:44 0:46 (This too)
→ Excessive foliage on mountain and over rocks — that resembles me stop motion scenery 0:57
→ Almost no wobbling when driving a bump road
→ Drift leaving no tire marks on the ground or even the smoke
