Dont forget on the ideallogic the case front is the combustion area seal. You must complete safety checks after replacing the front cover.

Hi there fantastic video, we have a boiler very similar to this one, , and I have installed the Hive as shown through your video and the original black and grey wires from the original thermostats I have removed, the hive connected all together fine and starts to kick the boiler on, burner light comes on then goes off and no radiators come on, I’ve checked all the wiring it all seems to be connected securely nothing sticking out or loose so I’m at a loss wondering if there’s anything I could be missing

Great tutorial mate!! My salus rt500 thermostat just packed up and looking to replace with a hive. Was just wondering if I would need to link out the connection in the face plate where the receiver sits at the moment or if I can just disconnect it. (ideal logic plus boiler)

Hello! 👋 Firstly - great video, concise and to the point! After seeing this one and many others, wired up the new hive unit in the exact same fashion... but when the thermostat unit turns 'ON' - nothing happens to the boiler. It doesn't fire up. The boiler did come with an inbuilt thermostat unit which I've unplugged.. but wondering if there's potentially a conflict happening where the boiler is not turning on because of the inbuilt thermostat not being there? Any idea if it could be anything else? Thank you

The logic plus has an opentherm connection you’re doing yourself or the customer a disservice fitting a hive.
Get a smart timer with opentherm way better comfort and accuracy your gas bill will thank you.

Great video! I've got an Ideal Logic Max Combi c30 with a mechanical timer on the face plate, and no external thermostat. If I follow this videos wiring with the Hive, what happens to the timer on the front?

Was the new wiring a new 5 core electrical cable or was it rerouted from somewhere else?

I am going to change a Honeywell CM927 receiver over to the Hive Mini receiver, the wiring in the Honeywell is similar to your video, but the wiring looks different, the L&N are the same but I have 2 wires in A&B which on the Hive would be 4&5, should it but wired the same on the Hive? its a Bosch Greenstar 30i condenser boiler, your video makes it look simple, thank you

I have a Morco GB24 3 Series in caravan. I have seen the link wire on Room Stat in boiler so am I right to copy exactly what you have done? It has a mechanical integrated timer with off/on/timer switch. Would I leave it on the on position always and let the Hive override the boiler once connected?

Where do i get the wire with all thos different coloured wires on it that connects from the boiler to the hive hub, also does that hive hub come with the hive thermostat when you buy it.

I tried this but it said thermostat low battery. Do u have to link the main live with ny comms live in the receiver ?
