If I'd known this I of tried it on the cat who claimed us then developed mouth cancer after 4mths with us. She lived only 2 1/2wks after that. Shadow was microchipped but the info was not up to date so without the owners permission we could not give her anything but basic vet care due to UK rules. In Shadow's memory I am asking for all owners to update their cats records both at the vets and microchip company to be updated so their cat can be returned to them. The vet said it happens too often and they have to try write to see if they are still at the address on record. The owner had no idea he had lost a cat for 4mths he has so many cats and dogs. When he took her home she came back the next day so he left her until she was unable to eat or drink and her tongue swelled up. I insisted she needed to see a vet ASAP and he could not tell me no. The vet euthanized her to stop her suffering. At least she knew she was loved during her time with me.
I still recommend microchipping cats just remember to update them with new phone numbers and addresses so your cat can get back home.

Thank you. My dog had cancer a year ago- it was surgically removed. He takes melatonin now as part of his anti seizure protocol- good to know that this part of it is also working towards his over all health and well being.

Is there a regimen for using melatonin as a "preventative" option, as well❓..especially in senior Labs that are highly susceptible..been down that path twice😢..but me loves my Labradors..they're the best❤

I wanted to add this to my dogs diet, but my vet said it causes depression. Im not sure it's worth the risk.
