“I would like to wish a special thank you to all our amazing Health Care Assistants, Maternity Care Assistants and Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) at UHSussex today on Nursing Support Worker Day. We have over 1800 colleagues who deliver excellent care to patients.
Our HCSW workforce is a very important part of our team providing frontline care to patients, birthing parents and their partners, listening to patients and their families when they are most vulnerable and making an incredible difference every day.
Thank you for all you do to keep patients safe and provide everyday care. I started my career as a HCSW over 40 years ago in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit– I am proud to see so many HCSW in UHSussex starting their careers here with us”.
