I've been looking for roller shades that would work in my home for years now. This is the first one I have seen that seems to just work at a price and quality I won't regret! I really like the fact that the fabric is easily replaced as well, unlike a lot of the other products available.

FYI, you are supposed to remove that plastic part to the left of your shade roll before cutting the shade. I see in your video you left it (as did I due to an issue in the instructions that Switchbot told me they are aware of) and now you are left with a uneven gap on the left side of the shade or if you remove it now your shade will be able 2 inches too narrow.

Just a PSA for anyone to not do the same thing that we did

I got 2 of these and I really like them. I didn't do any cutting though, since the xl size was close to the size of my windows, and I mounted them outside the windows. 1st one took about an hour to install since I was very carefully reading the provided instructions (yep I'm one of those people). 2nd one was done in about 20 minutes! Been up for about 1.5 months now and no issues or complaints at all. I have a hub and use the app and the supplied wired remote. I got the solar panels as well. The window with a lot of direct sun and the battery is now at 97% (a lot of cloudy and rainy days the past 2 weeks). The windows without much direct sun is at 91%. You can also charge by connecting a USB charger to the port on the end of the remote cable (very convenient). My rating is 5 out of 5 stars!

Just had a Graywind blind delivered, made to measure the exact width without the hassle. Its a thermal pleated blind just like ikeas, has a zigbee motor and didn't cost much more than this. I didn't get hit with any custom charges either which was nice 😂

We have exactly one smartblind, yes smartwings. We got it for one purpose, lowering the amount of light coming from our front picture window that obscures the picture on the tv right next to it. There are two other small windows on either side, which don't have smartblinds on (well all have cheap vinyl blinds mounted on the inside...and I do mean cheap). We got a remote and a solar panel with it. Also the motor is matter enabled...but I've never been able to add it to our existing system. So essentially it's a motorized blind we never raise that work by a remote we never use. However, it does the job perfectly for what we need...less light while watching tv. It's going to stay there if we ever sell the house...so it will be one of those mysteries a new home owner finds...and always wonders...why'd they do that? 👹

Love how you can add a bespoke song into your videos now. These blinds look a good deal for people starting afresh. I opted for the Aqara Blind driver that is bolted to my wall. This option has far nicer aesthetics!

I have a retrofit Tuya for my roller shade. It's just a bit jittery/noisy.
Only downside with switchbot & other big brands is the price for me personally.
If I had more money at the moment, I'd def buy these tho!
