A lot of work in swapping the frame, but definitely the best decision. That old frame might be usable for a front end collision where the back is still good and they could be cut at the factory point, making one good frame from two bad frames.

As you’re probably aware. The new frame will not come with the VIN number obviously. I would at least stamp the VIN number into your new frame. It’s there just in case the vehicle were to be stolen or in a fire. So the truck can be identified. Just my thoughts, Ron.

Man I'd love to find a perfect project like this to take on some day! Minor damage, new frame and some paint etc and you got a much cheaper, brand new truck! You guys do magic and its gotta be very rewarding much like my residential construction line of work. Saying "I did that" when its all done & back together perfectly is an amazing feeling! Keep it up! Wish I could afford one of these projects to fix up right now, but I'm sure even though this is a 'totalled' $85k truck, it was still way out of my price range, probably $35k or more I'm assuming? Adding $10k in parts and your labor and you still are just over half the price of some of these brand new $100k super duties! Great deal if you ask me! I'd buy it no problem, although it needs some weight reduction and a little lift\level and some 37's, tremor valance, etc!👌🏻👍🏻🛠️⛓️🗜️🔧🔩
