As a resident of Pickle Lake, it's great to see our town like this. However, I must say that much of the information and statements made are incorrect, come back and we will arrange a guided tour of Ontario's Last Frontier!

Your there filming so people like me in UK can see more of Canada. Small towns/ villages are always always much nicer and friendlier then citys/towns. Thank you for taking us along on this beautiful journey xx

I don't post often, but always watch your vids. This was fun! I love seeing small remote towns/areas. There's always a cozy, laid back vibe that feels untouched by destructive civilization. There seems to be more 'heart' in these smaller communities too; perhaps that's why much of the 'friendliness' comes across as such. I hope you continue to add these explores to your channel, it's a refreshing new layer to your journeys. Safe travels Angelo.

Angelo, I very rarely comment in any YT videos, including your channels, which I never miss. Just wanted to say I love your love of nature and how you glow on your more personal advetures. And use your words like is so fascinating. Many peolpe of your generation are so different than you, Jaako, Omar, Chris Baird and so many of your other YT friends...
THANK YOU THANK YOU for your adventures and sharing them with an old woman that can no longer travel. Blesesd Be!❤

It’s hard to believe that pickle lake is way smaller than Big Trout Lake sometimes lol
Big Trout lake (KI) is a remote community in northwestern Ontario with a population of about 2, 500 and only has access to the rest of the world via plane or a seasonal winter road during the winter time. It’s quite an Interesting town and the road trip up there in the winter time is always pretty neat.
You should check it out sometime 👍🏼

Great to see you adventure to Pickle Lake. I lived there from 2010-2021 and it was a wonderful place to live. It is unfortunate that there were so many misconceptions about Pickle Lake/Mishkeegogamang - the reserve south of Pickle Lake. I think it would have been helpful to have interviewed some people in town. Pickle Lake is a very friendly place. P.S. I had also heard the stories of being "ambushed" which never happened in my time living there. I chuckled that you were confused by the Northern. As you said it is the Walmart of the north where everyone shops.

Mate, this is one of the best of your vids imho, personable tour of Pickle Lake, never heard of it, and fun to watch it through the lens of your camera with your laid back demeanour. Awesome 👍🏻

I will say this was one of your more unique videos. I enjoyed it a lot. It's cool to see remote places like this that I know I will never visit in my life time.

Most people fly out most of year, it’s not a very long period that everything stays frozen enough to drive on. We have had some crazy weather this year. We had pouring rain on Christmas and it was my first non snow Christmas. Where I am in Sioux on the lake, the planes take right off in front of my house to go even further north. I love it here.

Hey angelo, been a quiet watcher for a long time.
Very interesting to find out how other people live their lives not only differently but remotely.

Love the journeys.

Thank you 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I worked in Pickle Lake for a year and a half in 2020-2021 at the Pickle Crow mine site. It is active and there isn't too much to see. The town is a lovely little place and the people there are wonderful. I drove in and out on the 599 countless times, and worked closely with the Mish people. I have never once seen or heard anything about people being ambushed.

Angelo, those buildings that you saw that were all boarded up may not be abandoned, they may just be closed up for the winter months because the people who own them go south for the winter and then return in the spring and summer. They are boarded up to keep wildlife out when no one is there, that's my guess as to why they are boarded up.

The blue buildings you passed by with the fire hazard sign out front is the MNR bunk houses. It’s for all the forest firefighters who work here during the fire seasons! I moved from Gatineau Quebec to pickle lake almost 3 years ago. I absolutely love it. I work at the grocery store so I get to see everyone which I love, Ive gotten to know a lot about pickle lakes history and the people in it. there is a huge sense of community here that you can’t necessarily find in a big city! I’d recommend coming during the summer as well, there’s lots of super cool places to see and explore 😊

Hi Ang, I loved this travel series! I think you made it very interesting, i 52:06 learned alot, which I like! You never talk down to us or anyone! Your so talented and I think you can add Host a Travel Series to your roster! Im glad you took this time to get some fresh breezes blowing through your mind. I know some of the Rando stuff was getting out of hand, not your fault! But I just think you're a cool person, a serious pro at producing youtube videos of high quality! Im a fan! So cant wait for what comes next! Take care, Aloha!

PS: I think it's cool how many fan fams that had never commented on your videos before, commented on this one! Much love Angelo, and all fan family from Hawaii.
