My mother used to pray to Allah (SWT) for protection from the fitna of the Dajjal. She prayed constantly to shield herself and future generations from this trial. I vividly remember never feeling afraid of it; I always thought it wouldn't happen until 200 or 300 years, or even longer. But now, I understand how quickly situations can change. May Allah protect us.
