Some additional tips for the zoo.
- ask the zoo volunteers when is the best time to see your favorite animal. Some animals like the cheetahs are great to see in the morning. I’ve even seen the zookeeper walking a cheetah down the road on a leash in the morning. Other animals you might only be able to see when they are eating.
- also if you are visiting from out of town, go ahead and buy the novelty cup and popcorn bucket. You can keep refilling all day for 1-2 dollars and you will have a souvenir for home.
- the beer cups are very nice and you can keep those as well
- also if you are a San Diego resident and plan to visit the safari park often, consider a pass that includes parking as parking is $20-$30 there.

I grew up less than a mile from the Bronx Zoo. I practically lived there during the summers in my youth. The San Diego Zoo has been on my bucket list for decades. I can't wait to go! Thanks for sharing this!

Umm sir, I needed this video 3 weeks ago lol. We had a good time with the family. We were bummed that the pandas weren’t out but overall great place to visit. Also if you have triple A the tickets are around $55 but plus fees and taxes it ends up be around $65. Love the free parking.

I went to CA as a family vacation we went to LA, San Diego, Malibu, and more we did a road trip all around CÁ. When we went to San Diego we only went to see the zoo cuz I LOVE animals lol and I was like 10. Now I am 13. Ever since I left the zoo that day on our way back to the hotel I was like “ one day I will work at that zoo” and today I am saving money to do my university in CÁ at University of California, San Diego and work and the San Diego zoo!! Although I live in North New England :D lol!!

San Diego Zoo was always a bucket list trip for me but never made sense to make the trip from the east coast. Since taking a job in Washington State i've been twice in the 2 years I've been here now and it's still worth it to me.
