It might not look best but I would put door off to one side. That would give more room for a couch or bed along the wall on the door side.

Thanks for taking the time to produce this video. Our family is looking to build something similar on land we own in far northern WI. I am writing before finishing the video so I apologize if you address this toward the end. You mentioned the ridge beam supports being 4ft high. I am curious about the height of your walls?
