After a long wait, Roman finally gets the chance to drive the new 2023 Nissan Ariya. In fact he’s gone all the way to Spain just to drive Nissan’s next-gen electric car! Here’s what he thinks so far — check out TFLEV for the full review coming soon!

I think one thing that Nissan almost always does well vs their competitors is their exterior and now interior designs. This looks way more interesting than the bz4X or the VW ID inside and out.

TFL fellas seem like the type to take a Spanish vacation, lineup a car preview to do on their holiday rainy day in order to write the trip off. :D

I've driven just about every EV available here in NYC:

The Polestar 2, The MB EQS, All of the Tesla's: S, 3, X, Y; the Hyundai Kona, ionic 5, Kia Ev6, Niro, VW ID4...

It occurs to me that all of these things basically drive THE SAME save for their acceleration...but just about all the non-Teslas, are nicer cars with more features than the Model 3 and Model Y.

My next car will be an EV. I'm waiting to see what Dodge/Chrysler makes.

This has to be the first car from Nissan in a long long time that is not obviously behind the competition. Interior is very similar to the Kia EV6

Roman, you look like a sardine stuffed in that Nissan. Not sure if it is camera angle or perspective, but it doesn’t look too roomy and airy in there.

Is there battery management cooling unlike the Leaf?

I like the style of the car and the center console being adjustable. I didn't like the way you were scrunching down to read the dash behind the steering wheel and it didn't look like you had any headroom when you were in the back seat.

Your phone, your bible or your gun…
Love it!!!

So the Ariya has a flat floor with no divider between the driver and passanger seats. What happens when a water bottle from the passanger side makes it way over to the driver's "foot well"???

Same weather here in central Wisconsin dark, cold and an all day steady rain. Alex got to drive the new electric Subaru in sunny Az. I guess Subaru didn't get your letter of apology.

Really excited to see TFL reviewing cars overseas. Would be interesting to see the group do a Mexico or Canadian road trip and review vehicles we don't get in the states.

Impressed. Esp If the dual motor comes in round $55k I think it’s competitive given current model Y pricing ($63k)!
