How Actors Train For Motion Capture Roles | Movies Insider

Motion capture uses an actors' body movements to help create incredibly realistic computer-generated characters. It's been used in everything from "Avengers: Infinity War" to "Lord of the Rings" to the most recent "Planet of the Apes" movies. We met up with Richard Dorton, a motion capture actor who also teaches at The Mocap Vaults, to learn the tricks of the trade.

Motion Capture has been my biggest dream to do ever since I’ve seen Andy Serkis Playing Gollum in the Lord of the Rings movies. To play a cgi character and get to play around in mocap suits? Sign me the hell up.
