Hopefully this goes viral. It gets extremely, like really really irritating and annoying when someone claim to have a little ocd without understanding how horrible and painful it is.

I was never formally diagnose, but I do fall into what you've described quite badly. Intrusive thoughts, sometimes all day, only going away when I sleep, and even sometimes I can dream about the intrusive through and be anxious in the dream, resulting in waking up in a panic mode.
I seek constant reassurance, kinda like I'm doing now lol.
I'm in high anxiety all the freaking time.
It is so mentally draining.
It's hard to explain, specially to someone close to you, what it feels like inside.
Oh well.
Thank you for your videos Nathan

As someone with OCD, thank you. It’s quite annoying seeing people get self diagnosed with OCD just because they get bothered by something a normal human would get bothered by. OCD is a big struggle and your channel has helped a lot.

Having OCD is a mental invisible prison for me . I literally get exhausted and I can’t express how time consuming the rituals ( I call them ) are . I have tried to shorten my rumination daily but I still repeatedly check and have to count a certain number of times . I dream of one day waking up normal 😔.

this video is relatable. I told my friend that I was diagnosed with OCD and anxiety or something and they said that I didn't have any of those and said that I would have been washing my hands 24/7 and wouldn't be this messy. I also told another friend and they said that I wouldn't be coming out of my room and would be such a clean freak if I had anxiety and OCD so I don't know if I really have it when my doctor said I did. thanks for the video though!! It really makes me happy whenever you post something.

Every day I try my best to manage my OCD. It is overwhelming, but I do think I make progress little by little. Your channel really helps me to understand it and manage it. I have other mental disorders and illnesses, but my OCD is especially bad and debilitating. Thank you for your content :)

This “test” had me so 😖🤬😤 until I realized it was a joke, thank you for clearing this up. The misconceptions about OCD are insane

YES! Thank you. I have serious ocd and I get annoyed when people think it's about things begging organized. My ocd actually prevents me from being organized. Cleaning my room and then an intrusive thought comes.

I’ve been talking to my school councellor for a while now about intrusive thoughts and compulsions, and they said that I have multiple symptoms of ocd. Right now I’m unable to talk to anyone outside of school about it because my parents are really weird when it comes to mental health stuff, but I’m hoping I’ll eventually be able to sort it all out, because right now it’s driving me crazy (most of my intrusive thoughts centre around myself and my loved ones getting hurt, and it’s terrifying). I stumbled upon your channel (probably because of all the research I’ve been doing) and I’m hoping I might be able to try and manage it better. Hope you have a good day :)

Thank you for this. I have Trichotillomania, and I can never find a way to articulate why I have this condition. no one truly understands. But you explained it perfectly so I’ll use your words to explain when the time comes.
