Got dull faded plastic trim around your Jeep? Take a torch to it. Pretty amazing results. Before and after. Quick and easy.

if you don't wanna accidentally ruin your plastic just leave your car outside on a hot day then put a coat of transmission fluid on, let sit an hour or so then wipe off with a clean rag. works great and will last up to a year.

CHECK TO MAKE SURE NO GAS LEAKS PRIOR TO DOING THIS! Awesome job!

The torch definitely works better then the heat guns I've seen

throw some cold water on it before it dries and it will stay shiny otherwise it will go dull again

The heat pulls the oils to the surface
It dose t last long
And the plastic is even more dried out then before

I prefer Dulpicolor plastic trim black paint. It gives it a deep wet black plastic look

I use same way on my ford taurus 2019 👍

Have you tried this process on plastic headlights
In theory it should work similarly

So this one works with Grey plastic fenders? I thought it was only for black plastic fenders.

it works better if u paint it with old oil and without heat 😉

As satisfying as this is to watch, this is merely a temporary bandaid. You're extracting all the residual oils and synthetic salts that sit on the surface causing it to brittle prematurely. After you execute this method, the plasticizer oils will no longer exist, and it'll end up looking worse than before.
