"This thing really block radiation?"

Everyone who's played the games: " *NO!* No it does not!"

Best part of the Fallout tv series is any time this dude comes on screen, which are the interesting history, the cool present, and the exciting future

It was kinda weird to hear the fact that the actual Vault Boy was walking around in the wasteland all this time

Coop is basically OG Vault Boy. Oh the irony...

While handing him the suit, his wife says "They even made it in your color." The entire Blue/Yellow color scheme is all because of Cooper Howard.

Every man uses this pose when photographed.

It is wild to me that in this live action adaptation of a video game series it manages to pull off making a live action version of an in-universe fictional cartoon character.

In this case, Cooper Howard actually being Vault-Tec’s mascot Vault Boy.

Which make the series fun to watch as we get to see the mascot character in action throughout the show doing shit that we the players would typically do in playthroughs

This was when it occurred to me this dude's the real Vault Boy.

Cooper Howard is a really cool character. It feels like he’s a mix of John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart. I also like how he’s the origin of the Vault Tech mascot 😁👍🏼. In my opinion, the best parts of the show are the pre-war flashbacks. Cooper discovering Vault Techs true intentions is a legendary scene.

I like how we slowly got these flashbacks to sum up why he shot the vault boy billboard in the face and hated giving a thumbs up. His story came together so beautifully.

Love the fact that vault boy is retro actively retconed be based off a real person, and that person goes on to play a major role in The fallout saga. One of the things I love about this show initially people and places seem disconnected turn out to be interconnected in a deep manner.

0:18 "god's work". After watching episode 8 this really hits differently here.

I love that you see that he was on the billboards until the mascot replaced him

His story really is a tragedy. At the time of the commercial, he really felt like he was representing a righteous company, as well as supporting his wife.

Now he knows he helped fuel the corporate machine that instigated nuclear war. And that his wife was more or less an evil person.

The man in this commercial would never be as brutal as the ghoul is present day.

This is best use of non-diegetic music in the series, imo. Country-western song about a man who’s had the wool pulled over his eyes, while he poses like a goof and sincerely thanks the destroyers of the world. It’s just perfect.

He created the iconic thumbs up and they also make the yellow and blue jumpsuit based from his cowboy outfit colors.
