*From obscure religious texts to otherworldly manuscripts, here are ten of the most mysterious books in the world. This one was actually suggested by one of you folks… Kind of ironic that a librarian didn’t think about it earlier isn’t it?*

It's like these ancient authors were like LETS WRITE A BOOK AND CONFUSE THE FUCK OUT OF PEOPLE OF THE FUTURE

The Codex Gigas (Devil's Bible) is another really good one. Even if it didn't really come from a deal with the devil, it's really trippy that the largest medieval manuscript was handwritten seemingly by one person, and in text that never changes despite the fact that it should have taken at least 25 years to finish.

@5:40 All I could think of was Monty Python and the Holy Grail when they had to fight that killer rabbit.

I think the most mysterious book is my physics textbook, so mysterious only I can't understand it

I like how these books are so valued and mysterious yet maybe all the authors of these could be tripping on some hard ass weed and decided to write a book

Dear Hybrid, i just wanted to mention that your wonderful videos are very inspiring to me and i always look forward to the next journey in to unknown dephts. I live in a grey world, my body is like a drone, going to work, returning too tired to do much else than sleep and doing other normal things like going to the grocery store, even if i'm planing to escape this madening cycle since a very long time. It's mostly videos like this and books that keep me going and i just wanted to sencerely thank you. (I'm sorry if there are grammar errors, i'm Swiss-Italian^^)

Great and wonderful video as always, but I do wonder if many of these inexplicable encyclopedias that depict other world like beings which are composed in unknown languages could be compared to modern fantasy books.  For example, perhaps 2000 years from now scholars will find guides to The Lord of The Rings which display dragons and other beasts that do not exist.  The author of the series also had made several real languages for the races of his world, which could be misconceived as some secret code.  Just a thought, or who knows maybe the author of some of these books were just on some good ol' shrooms.

Gorgeously produced video! Consistently engaging in its progression. Fascinating images & perfectly chosen music. I'm amazed you found so many fine images of these works. (Thanks for 27 reference links in the description!) One comment said you should upload more often, but obviously a video like this takes a lot of time & care to create. Furthermore, you might have a life beyond creating videos. Authors' devoting so much time & energy to create works in undecipherable code seems so strange! They surely intended to communicate with some future reader prepared to devote sufficient effort. Trolling is a silly, mostly contemporary, adolescent nuisance not worth mentioning in the context of these works. Thanks!
