Thank you!! I just found your YouTube channel and I love it. I also homeschool an only child. He’s a rising 8th grader and I love seeing what has and hasn’t worked for your son. I’m really interested in how you’re teaching highschool. My son is dyslexic so our homeschooling looks a tad different but all your videos have been amazing, inspirational, and informative. My favorite Campfire that we've done is the Independence Day unit, too! Thanks for the recommendation for Living Healthy. We will probably be incorporating health next year. Great that you were able to bring some friendly competition into grammar! :) Ooohhhh - I'm going to research the heroes and villans book!

You are such an inspiration to me. Having only one child I learn so much from you. I've been re watching a lot of your videos looking for how many hours on a typical day do you guys school. I get a lot of harsh words bc we don't school 5 or 6 hours a day (7th grade last yr) I try to explain everyone is different, plus when we use unit studies so much is covered.
Also, I just found Fix it Grammer myself. We are testing out the nose tree this summer. I feel like it is going to be a wonderful fit. ❤ thanks friend. Love yr videos!

Too funny! I have the exact same selections for my son for next year :D A mix of IEW for grammar and composition, All About Spelling, Apologia for Science, TGATB Math, Canadian history books, a few Not Consumed unit studies, and a few unit studies from Gather Round. :) I love unit studies hehe. Thanks for recommending the Schoolnest notebooks- I love them and it's really encouraging my son to write which he hates. All his work is gonna be done in them- we can really individualize them to suit how he likes it - collages, lapbooks, paste in pics and drawings . I'm debating trying their planner but I really love my erin condren planner...oooo decisions decisions...

Would love to see how you used your planner! I debated the school nest planner but I really wanted to make a planner customized to me. Your old videos inspired me to use the happy planner I already had but never thought to use for homeschool. Excited to try it out next year but also still love the idea of the school nest planner.
