Aha! I get the point. You roll 'em paper thin and swirl 'em in the oil when you first drop 'em in, and that gives 'em the random shapes. I love it!

we used to eat almost the same thing at our local state fair, but they called them Elephant Ears, they were the same just bigger YUM
