I don't think Nick Margevicius should have started. He was just not ready.

I think Scott Sievers and the coaching staff of the Mariners we're trying to evaluate the progress of thier starting pitcher. So, after walking in a few runs, Scott Sievers pulled him I believe in the bottom of the first inning. and I think it was the correct decision. However, from the second inning until the end of the game the Mariners did a great job by allowing just one additional run. It is much better to evaluate players at the beginning of a season then at the end of the season or in the playoffs.

Red Sox deserved this one. Mariners are starting to come together. They are winning, but in fact could be playing a lot better. Came down to pitching, in this game.

Today wasn't a complete loss: 1 the score could have been far worse during that first inning (they're saying Margevicius is injured and that might have contributed to the abominable pitching) 2 (and the know this is none of our doing but it DOES affect us) the A's lost their game so we're still only a game back and still solidly in second place in the division

Mariners don't have a starting pitcher for this game especially James paxton is expected to pitch during this game. He will miss the rest of the season due to tommy john surgery however best luck for the redsox and mariners getting to the post-season....
