I grow ginger and tumeric outside. They die back in winter here in Seattle, and they come back stronger in spring.

I forage for my teas as much as possible. Currently I can't grow anything where I live but that is changing in 2021. I purchased land. Can't wait. I agree raspberry leaf is one of my favourites. I get it from my daughter who grows it at home.

Thanks for all the tips! 🌱💞 I planted raspberry (two kinds) this year just for tea, and berries too of course. ☺ My tea garden is almost finished!!!

All of these are such great herbs!
I also enjoy rosemary, sage, the anise Hyssops, bee balm, and cat mint!
For those who like the taste of green tea, Wood Betony leaves have been used as a caffeine-free substitute (a cousin of Lambs Ears!)

Fun factlet from a recent Charles Downing video, on his new herb garden at Homeacres - bees and other pollinators use pants in the mint family - mints, thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano and others - for their own medicine!!
So growing a variety of herbs helps keep our pollinator healthy!

I live in Oregon, so one of my favorite sources for bulk herbs, essential oils, etc is Mountain Rose, founded by herbalist Rosemary Gladstar! Lots of special herbs like Chaparral that are harder to come by, and ethnically harvested!

I’m just starting to grow my own herbs for tea …the most surprising is raspberry leaf and thyme. I have grown thyme for years for culinary purpose, definitely will be trying it as a tea. Thank you, this was incredibly helpful 💕

Thank you, I’m just getting into herb teas and I’m an avid gardener. My current daily tea is oregano, mint, ginger root, and turmeric (ground). I pour my cup and add a teaspoon of honey. Im really enjoying it and hope to gat some of those health benefits ✌️💕

Whereas I usually find mint tea not quite to my taste - I found one type of mint plant that is just wonderful.
'Korean Liquorice Mint' has a warm, satisfying, 'full' taste that I really don't get from most herbals in general.
I grew mine from seed I bought earlier this year (from a UK merchant. I'm sure someone will be selling it in America). It doesn't grow superfast in my wet Northern climate, but it did produce enough to use by late summer and has a lovely bright purple flower to boot.

Loved this video, I love Chamomile tea and just yesterday planted some seed in a container, I'm hoping it grows and then I can harvest and dry and make fresh tea 😋😍💞
