Worst possible thing EVER added to a car from factory, there are some very annoying factory alarm systems but Subaru took it to another level! 😂

The immobiliser kicks in approximately 30 seconds after the drivers seat belt comes off.
And then you have to remove the key from the ignition, press the alarm button, put your reds on and then key in your code.
Opening and closing your door has no effect.
Very annoying setup but it eliminates getting car jacked 😊

Likely nothing to do with the anti hijack.
The brant alarms suffer from bad solder joints, which cause them to shut off randomly.
The anti hijack only happens if you stop, take your seatbelt off, open the door and get out of the seat with the engine running. It also beeps at you as it counts down to shutting off, which didn't happen here.

My FTO would actually think it was stolen and shut itself down all the time. Extremely annoying. Eventually I had to rip out and throw the entire security system in a bucket of water.
