The common pleco. Supposed to be in the aquarium hobby but when people buy these 99% of the time people don’t know how big these fish get, usually out grows the tank. People just throw them in ponds and lakes and then they take that water way over. The fact he’s caught all these is a very good thing for the ecosystem

They should stop selling these in pet stores. There are many other types of plecos that dont get so big and are great for home tanks.

Crazy how people don't do any research before getting a fish and get a common pleco and put it in a 5 gallon I am sad about how they are dead because I love plecos and own a few ones most of them are small tho like a butterfly pleco gold nugget or zebra but I respect it thank you for helping the world man good job

Just get a bristlenose catfish. To a casual, they look close enough to a standard pleco, but they stop growing around 15cm.

Just got yelled at today for taking pleco out of a pond. Little did they know me and my friends were the only thing stopping the downfall of that pond. I should’ve spoken up and said something I know. I hope they learn that pleco are absolute pieces of garbage even if they clean the pond they destroy everything else.

Guys don’t worry they’re ok they have the ability to cover themselves with mucus to stay dry on the outside but alive in the inside so don’t worry they’re alive just put some water on them and they will come to life (phew) tha5 was long
