As a Muay Thai practitioner, I can confirm that pain is about 60% of the training. And that's before anyone even touched you.😂😂😂😂

Our Aikido sparring is called randori where multiple people try to gang up on you and you try your best to survive using techniques you practiced. It doesn't really help with performing the techniques, it mostly just teaches you that you gotta keep one guy between you and all the other guys if you don't want to get beat the fuck up.

I wish more ppl knew goju ryu karate, its one of the most underrated styles.
It is full contact, takedowns, grapling, and groundwork

As a BJJ practitioner, I can confirm our sparring is mainly cuddling with struggling 😂

I took Aikido for a couple months to just get some basic movements down, and my instructor was actually really good. We DID do some sparring (not very structured, but it was fun and really helped with a bit of application that most Aikido instructors ignore).

Also swords. The swords were awesome.

training in muay thai and switching to mma actually got me in so much trouble bc i was not taught sparring etiquette and going at it hard was normal that's just how it was. felt so bad when i floored a dude with a leg kick bc he wasn't bracing for full impact
