Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has named his new cabinet after being sworn in for an historic third term in office.
Tayyip Erdogan, who was sworn into his third presidential term on Saturday, reappointed an internationally respected former banker as finance minister in a sign that his new government might pursue more conventional economic policies.
Mr. Erdogan, took the oath of office a week after he won a new five-year term in a runoff presidential race that could stretch his 20-year rule in the key NATO country that straddles Europe and Asia into a quarter-century.

There is a quite braindead conservative faction in the west, especially in US which is trying to preserve "interests of US and it's allies" which inludes Israel, Arabic Kingdoms etc and because of that they see Turkey as a threat. Turkish soft power is insanely higher than known by the western public, Turkish armed forces could freely operate in so many countries from Libya to Afghanistan or Somalia where western coalition struggle a lot or even had to run in quite terrible conditions. For example taliban actually asked Turkish forces to stay and control some critical infrastructure including international airports as they didn't have skilled personel to do so and Turkish forces aren't seen as "crusader invaders" by Afghan people but Turkey refused and withdrew from Afghanistan as well. No other country in entire western alliance has such a soft power in middle east and that's exactly why Turkey is a threat in the region shared with Israelis and arab kings and princes! You can see it everywhere if you look closely, "humanist" western countries issuing embargoes on Turkey for "deterring democracy" while same western countries continue selling arms to arabic kingdoms. Arab spring miserably failed in all arabic countries expect Libya alone where Turkey intervened and saved Libyan people elected government while France, Egypt, saudis etc supporting warlord haftar, simply because they know a democratic government would be pro-Turkish for sure. They keep re-writing history and warming over "Armenian genocide" in last two decades just purely reducing Turkish soft power. In their eyes Turkey is already an enemy, against their interests in the region at least so they act accordingly. Even after regime changes in Turkey absolutely nothing will change, Turkey can't stay isolationist anymore because we experienced quite terrible damage from recent wars especially Syrian war even if we stayed out of it as long as possible. In future Turkey will intervene more and more regardless which party is ruling and that's exactly what they fear and trying to prevent...
