The Lowe’s store you’re looking for is in Southern California! It’s clean, doesn’t have a bunch of nasty people in the parking lot and has a friendly greeter. I’ve never had to wait for help. I guess it just depends on the neighborhood!

I work in the other big box home improvement store for 10 years. You will be sad to find out that it is just getting worse. It’s large corps wanting to guarantee a dividend to investors so what do they do? Stop hiring during the busiest part of the year to cut costs. Especially since prices are skyrocketing for goods. Before Covid I had 250 reps at my store. Now we have 125. Meaning everything takes twice as long to get figured out.

All the Lowes stores are like this. Including picking up orders. To top it off the prices have gone insane. Literally Ace Hardware is cheaper.

Same here! Waited for someone to get something down from shelf above…said he’d be right back. Never showed up. Went to Home Depot and got what I needed.

I think a lot in most cases could be the area or just store management.I do business with Lowe’s mostly since it’s closer to me than Home Depot .Me I dunno lol I just walk in and get what I want if I can find it and get out, but the store in my location is decent I guess I never have any problems

I have been all across the nation and only one lowes has had employees there to help. Moberly has the best lowes in the nation. I'm a contractor and in home depot every day. Home depot is just the opposite of lowes when it comes to customer service on a grand scale. Yea some home depot suck but all the lowes do and 85% of home depot are awesome people.

Lowe’s is complete shit. It’s the only hardware store I’ve ever been where they sold me a faulty product, I returned the product with the receipt and they tried to refuse my return. I would’ve actually swapped it out but they were such a pain in the ass about it I got a bad vibe. Few months later the same thing happened at home depot and a drill my brother bought started smoking. So we walk in there with it and the employee is like “you want to grab another?” So I went and grabbed it and he didn’t even scan it. He was just like “your good man, have a good day!” THE DIFFERENCE WAS NIGHT AND DAY! Fkn Lowe’s treated us like common criminals, Home Depot was so much friendlier and easy to work with.

It's because of how Lowes treats its employees. I could tell you horror stories about Lowes. Lowes treats their employees like garbage. So, in return, the employees treat customers like garbage. Why should the employees care about a company like that? I stopped working at Lowes due to the harassment, but before I left, I made sure that the store manager and several middle managers were fired.

Let this be a lesson to any managers out there. One day you will run across someone like me who knows their rights and knows what government agencies to contact to have you investigated. An EEOC investigation is never a good thing to have on your employment history. 😉
