Yeah, b Centauri b is quite unbelievable. When I first heard about this planet I was like "Wait what the-". It resides in a binary system with the stars weigh between 6 to 8 times the mass of the sun combined.

One thing you missed, is that they looked at previous data made on b Centauri, and by doing so, they discovered an even bigger enigma. It turned out the planet had actually been imaged over 20 years ago, although it wasn't recognised as a planet by then.
