Sailing trip from Guernsey to Jersey, and back again

Sailing my Springtide, Tusitala, to Jersey, and back again. Tussie spent a few days in the St. Helier marina whilst I enjoyed the party, some sightseeing, and the local restaurants. There are some nice bays to try anchoring next time!

Time your tides right for the departure and arrival, and this trip will go well. I seem to have got it right this time. My boat is not fast by any modern standard, but we got there and berthed within 6 hours and a little less on the way back. A stiff breeze at times, but it backed off quite a lot for a while too after I left Jersey behind. Certainly a steady 15 knots leaving St. Helier. 15 to 18 steady state was forecast, though that peak was supposed to be brief.
