LOGS AND CONSTRUCTION | HOW MUCH WE SAVED

We have Saved a bundle in Logs from the Construction Site. The amount we Save is based on how much we are willing to do. The number of Logs is actually surprising as well the number of board feet we have saved from the brush pile. Being able to cut and transport material is hard work but worth the savings. Great savings. It seems that they are progressing quickly in the construction of Jenifer's house.

The price of lumber here is so outrageous here. I saved well over the price of my little mill in just the first year. You have a great collection of logs there. That will keep that fine mill of your running for a little bit. Woodmizer makes a fine machine but I’ve never understood why they have it set up to blow the dust out on the operators side. Have good weekend!

In England, P C Plod wouldn't like that fitting to allow you to carry longer lumbah. It covers up the rear number plate.

Richard have you thought about trying to find an old farm grain Conveyer to install as the saw dust collector for the saw mill, and put an expanded metal top on it so you have a good walkway. This way you would not be walking in the sawdust and all you would have to do at the end of the day sawing, is turn on the conveyor and move the sawdust to a wagon. I see old grain conveyors sell at farm auction for as little as $200.
It is just an Idea.

Also for running the power to the shop/ saw mill, dig a deep trench to the solar panels and then run trench over to the shop from the panels and and drop a 3rd conduit in the trench for the shop, it appears the run will be shorter from the solar Panels to the shop that from the power house to the shop.

dig trench to one of the end post, instead of the middle post, as the solar panels will be connected in series on one array, if it is in the middle you will have to run a long cable from the end of the array to the middle, and if you conduit goes to the end closest to the shop, then you have a shorter run the solar ray to the conduit to the power house.

Hi Richard, I really enjoy your builds. Quick question, the extension you are going to build on to your mill, instead of three feet, why not make it 4 feet.

Good morning Richard, boy them neighbors create a lot of background noise don't they? LOL Looking great around there and moving right along with your projects and Jennifer's too. I like that tailgate extension you made. As well built as the sawmill building is, can you come up with a beam above the mill going back into the building centered over the mill that you could install a powered winch to use to roll your logs when you need too while they are on the mill ? Something with a remote control so you would be able to wrap and roll them by yourself? Looks great around there, so glad things are going great around there for you all. Stay safe and keep up the fun. Fred.

When your house is completed you can call it 'power house" like Wild and wonderful when your solar panels are finish, you can direct your charged panels to the power house and your convertor can relay power to your house and that of your daughter

Paint the ends of the logs to preserve them. It stops checking especially when you're not able to use them anytime soon.

Richard educate me but with building down there in the bottom won’t there be more mosquitoes and is subject to flooding?
