Pin Lock and Ball Lock. What's the Difference?

Spoiler! Neither one is inherently better, but they are different. In this video we quickly break down the many differences between Pin Lock and Ball lock kegs.

More spoilers:
It's not the way they work (except for venting), and it's not the amount of liquid, it's simply size, shape, and availability that makes up the major differences between the two.

Super duper helpful! New beer brewer here and acquired a kegerator and needed some guidance on which corny keg style would be best for me! Thanks for the awesome content.

You just calmed my heart bro. Just got a used keg for the first time, never touched used or even seen a keg with my eyes till yesterday. Thought they delivered the wrong order since I ordered for ball lock but it’s a ball lock conversion on a pin lock keg and it has an auto pressure release when I was expecting a manual. Thought it was bad since everyone uses a manual release valve on all the videos I see. That’s why I’m here. Thanks man for this video. You’re explanations are gold.
