It's all fun until you hear "nothing on 1 medium click on 2..." outside your window at night

Those are the kinds of locks I see everywhere in Europe. I only see the old one-sided jagged edge keys when I visit the US.
And we always lock these things twice. So I'm feeling pretty safe knowing it's that hard to open for you ^^

Beautiful pick,
I call that a "lock speaks several languages".
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy seeing how you tackle a dimple.
Cheers!

A number of residences in Japan use a similar cylinder, and they are breached because people post photos of their keys on social media. The serial numbers also directly translate to the shape and depth of the dimples on the keys, making it easy for locksmiths and thieves to make "spare keys".

The other leading cause of burglaries in Japan is people forgetting to lock their doors.

Very nice picking bud! I like the way you pick the dimple locks. I'm going to have to try your method because I am pretty new to dimple locks.

Can you please explain to me how the passive pins work. The understand I have of them is they are for key control but I can't figure out how they can do much without springs in the bible to push them into the shear line.

Thank you for all the great videos.

what is the purpose of the other pins if you don't have to pick them?

It would be nice if the @LockPickingLawyer starts rating the locks on some scale on how good they are. I have the same lock at home and now I am unsure if I should change it or not, if so which one do I even choose. Thus it will be nice to have this relative compressing between all the locks you have picked. What do you think about that?

Anybody can think of reason why key hole is so big in those pin tumblers/dimple locks(well end in many others locks)? There is only needed thin piece of metal, pick size, to move pins. Making key hole tiny would make picking probably harder.

does electric lockpicking guns work on those locks?

How would you go about picking a lock with a conventional key that also has dimples?

Nice but would've expected more security pins though 🤔
