Climate change is here: Antonio Guterres

Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres has given another powerful warning call to the world's leaders today.

While we watch the impacts of climate change wreak havoc across the planet, it's important to remember that we still have time to act, and we can make a difference to so many people’s lives. We can still reduce harm, we can chart a course to a better, safer future. We need to phase down the use of fossil fuels, and replace them, as quickly as we can in this crucial decade, throughout the 2020s.

What we do right now matters. To secure a liveable and safe future we do need to rally and throw everything we’ve got at fast tracking the renewables revolution this decade. It’s never been more important.
