I have been driving Honda four cylinder cars since 1982 and quite honestly, I am tired of having to go down to the passing gear just to get up an incline. They are reliable engines, no question but for me it is time for a change. I have driven several of the Honda Accord V6 autos and the power is there when you need it. The ride is smooth and confident and there is isn't much of an increase in fuel costs. Through our credit card companies we do receive cash back on our fuel purchases. There is now a caveat with a Honda four cylinder engine and that is, it will be hooked up to a CVT Transmission. That is an area you definitely want to steer clear of. Nothing but trouble, nothing but a lot of trouble. Regards, Tony

I learned to drive on my dads 2006 accord sedan. I remember we put probably 240, 000 km in the six years we owned it. Being the second owners we bought it off lease at 40, 000km. Never had issues with the car and was bullet proof. Even when we bought a Toyota after the accord was still worth some money at 280, 000, sometimes I wonder where it is today, if it’s in some scrap yard or if it’s off delivering pizzas, who knows.

Purchased my 2015 Honda EX-L V6 a few months ago... Love it. I had aa Nissan Altima V6 before; the CVT was junk (failed quickly - like under 75k miles)

Had the 14" sport sedan trim and trade it for the 15" coupe EXL the top of the line for the coupe version with factory ground effect kit. Love everything about it. The V6 compare to the 4 cylinder on the sport trim is a lot different. More power of course but I notice the engine is more quiet when AC is on and etc. I just feel like the V6 would last a lot longer. More efficient all around.

Its weird that honda uses chrome exhaust tips but acura the "sporty" luxury" brand hides the exhaust completely

Surprising to me you have so few subscribers. Your reviews are always thorough and in my opinion right on the money. Keep up the good work

I just bought the Honda Accord EX-L V6. Can't wait to get it on Tuesday hopefully! I'm going to install my own blue interior lights and blue sill illumination. Probably new rims too!

i'm old school and yes it took a bit to get use to my Cvt in my 14 Accord Ex but now that i have had my car for a year I think that Honda's Cvt is awesome...drives as well as any of Honda's  5 speed automatics i have driven in the past...no shift shock when I press on the gas hard...just gets up and goes...don't get me wrong  those of you who can afford the V6 / 6 speed obviously that's ithe way to go but in my opinion buying the 2.4 with Honda's Cvt is a smart buy as well...

That's because this car is still based off of the 2012 Acura Tl but with active cylinder management and a bit of the interior features of the Tlx

I remember seeing this car when it was new and thinking that the rear end especially the tail lights looked exactly like the first gen Hyundai Genesis, which is a good thing. Anyway great review Zack! I remember watching you on driving television!

Very nice review. Concise, to the point; none of the "this button...". You obviously are very knowledgeable about the car and it shows. Big thumbs up. Oh yeah BTW, you sold me on the car as well LOL

It's NOT that we Canucks like the smaller cars.  If the dealers would offer us the same (bigger) cars for the same price that they get in the US we'd be lining up around the block to buy them.

My only complaint in the past was that the Honda Accord wasn't nearly as quiet on the road as a comparable Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Buick or Chrysler.  The road noise was always considerably louder in the Accord than the others.  If they've finally given it a better sound deadening job, I would find the car a lot more desirable.  Cabin noise is one of the things that really adds to driver fatigue on longer trips.  Haven't had the opportunity to ride in an Accord for the last couple years, so things may have changed.

Great review as always Zack.
Is there any pros to getting the Coupe version of this car besides the more sporty appearance?

CVT transmissions are terrible. The V6 is a better buy if you don't do city driving that much.
