Do you know this famous illustration of thalassophobia?
It is a very scary and very beautiful painting.
I was fascinated by this picture and wanted to reconstruct it in three dimensions. I'm not sure if I made it well, but I want you to see it.

I am not the copyright holder of this illustration.
I tried hard to find a copyright holder.
But I could not find the person.
If the copyright owner has seen this project, please allow my challenge. I am one of the people deeply fascinated by your paintings.

Thank you for watching. Here are some frequently asked questions and their answers.

Q. What is that clay? Does it cure in the microwave? A. The type of clay is polymer clay. It cures with the heat of the oven, not the microwave. It's sold to Amazon.
Q. What kind of resin are you using? A. It's a polyester resin. But this is not recommended because it is difficult to handle and has a strong odor. Epoxy resin is recommended for use. I use polyester because I have no money.
Q. The frame is distorted due to resin shrinkage. Use thicker boards. A. Then the frame will not be able to absorb the shrinkage of the resin and the sculpture will break. Frame distortion absorbs the pressure of contraction. Using epoxy resin instead of polyester resin solves this problem, but I don't have the money to buy large quantities of epoxy. I like this curve.
Q. Music is noisy! distracted. A. sorry I can't speak English so I use it without help. From next time, I'll change to quieter music.
Q. You are bad. No technique. A. I am aware of it. Please give me a break.

Thank you so much for giving me your valuable time. Thalasso hobbyer

Could you try recreating another world famous paitining of hauting Depths? I'm talking about kraken painting by Diego Antolini. It's one of the creepiest paintings that will trigger Thalassophobia in everyone) Anyway, Amazin job, my friend

I love how you turned a flaw (the resin) into a feature, with the bowed sides creating an eery texture. To me it feels even more like an ocean, the result is very creepy. You did such an amazing job!

Waaah, this is amazing! The original artist is a man named Layne Johnson, but I cannot find the original painting on his website any more. I’ve loved this painting for years, and you did a fantastic job of bringing it to life!!

This is beautiful! The (I'm guessing) unintentional bowed sides actually add a cool sense of character and style, instead of a plain rectangle!
Very cool.

When I watch videos such as yours, I think first about how I would do it, then do my best to keep an open mind to what you do. I am very often happily surprised at the problem solving done by artists as yourself! BRAVO!

I have watched all your videos.

This is art. And art is beauty by judgement of the individual viewer. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
As for technique. U have your style and this works for you and your pieces are stunning (even on a budget).
Anyone who comments otherwise, I challenge those to make a video of their work, post it here and wonder if there won't be another person criticising their technique.

Do not let others tell you what is good or not. This is you. Be proud of it and stand tall.

You inspire other people to try a new hobby and that in itself is admirable. (Myself included).

Keep going, looking forward to your next video.

-youtube has been recomending me this kind of videos for a while and i always wonder why never use diferent ink tonality layers on the resin phase. Now you do it and looks awesome. Gives that look of losing the light in the deep ocean
