0:00 Introduction
3:40 PLAIN SEAM with standard 1/2 allowance
5:05 TOPSTITCHED SEAM with 1/2 allowance
6:27 EDGESTITCHED SEAM with 1/4 allowance
7:26 FRENCH SEAM with 1/4 allowance *wrong sides together
9:35 MOCK FRENCH SEAM with 1/2 allowance *right sides together

SIX SPECIAL SEAMS...BEGINNERS SEWING COURSE

RESPECTED INSTRUCTOR,

THANKS FOR YR VALUABLE INSTRUCTION AND WELL FOCUSSED DEMONSTRATION.

DISPLAYING IN WORDS/FIGURES AS HEAD LINES OF DIFFERENT SEAMS HELPED ME TO GRASP EACH SEAM FURTHER AND IS VERY HELPFUL.

THOUGH THIS IS THE BEGINNING IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TOPIC TO THE STUDENTS.

CONSIDERING ALL THE ABOVE, YR TEACHING IS 100 PERCENT SUCCUSSFUL AND

YOU PROVED A SUCCESSFUL GUIDE AND INSTRUCTOR.

THANK YOU

A natural teacher. Faren doesn’t fuss about. Her lesson so concise I wrote it down line for line. It probably took me an hour to watch this! Obviously a very talented and immaculate artist. Thank you for creating this awesome content ✊🏼

As an intermediate beginner, this was super helpful. It would have been more informative for me if you would also include when each of these seams work best (what parts of a garment) and for what kinds of fabric. Keep teaching!

Bored quarantined curmudgeon: Have been cranking out masks like crazy. Am thinking of trying a button down men's shirt. Never sewed until about 2 weeks ago. Maybe a few subscribed to your channel

I wish you explained when you’d use each seam, but great explainations! I’ve been sewing for a little over a year and I’ve had my sewing machine for a year and 5 days! I have lots of fabric for garments but just haven’t gotten to any of the projects. I’m cutting out pjs tomorrow and I’m so excited! I’ve learned a lot from your channel and I only found you today when I needed an explanation on grainlines. I wish you had a print out of that pattern piece you showed in the beginning of what direction to sew your seams. Thanks for the awesome explanations and I can’t wait to learn even more from you! ❤️🤗

Thank you for the attempt. I do appreciate it. You keep up the good work. I like to know do you use knit or do you sew with knit? Knit fabric
