late to the comments, I live here in China and just purchased an Amari LP 10MK turntable, its in the $1000-$1500 range quality wise, sorry you guys can't get it back in the states, came fitted with an AT95e and sounds lovely. I'm sure to spend some money in the future to either upgrade the stylus or go for a Nagaoka MP150, both of which will certainly lead to further improvement soundwise. Currently, its very well balanced, not bright at all as some report and I suspect that's because it is fitted onto a very heavy high quality turntable. Cheers, Mario, Shenyang

The mid-range tone of the at 95e sounds more accurate

Can't really hear much of a difference, although the At95e wins for me based on price alone

In fact the AT sounds better for me here. More natural representation.

I think I'm sold on the AT95E. I've been using an AT120E for the last 4 years, but at $140 AUD for a replacement stylus, it's a bit frickin rich.
I can pick up a 95E cart and stylus for $49 AUD.
I'll give it a go.
Nice videos👍

Hello. I have a question, who is singing this song? Thank you for your answer and best regards.

This is probably a new record. Even though the m97xe may sound extra flat, mostly... When it comes to play difficult records or slight worn records, it will do better than the 95e.

You all think some kind of audiophile experts but fail to realize that YouTube compresses the shit out of audio and does not give any kind of accurate representation of what any cartridge sounds like. My Turntable came with and AT95E. When I was ready to upgrade everyone said to get an Ortofon 2M red or an M97xE. That was 2017 when the M97xE was still available. That's what I bought, and I'm blown away by the difference. But then some fools think there's no difference between a felt mat and an acrylic mat. I bought an acrylic mat just because I was getting a lot of static with felt and I couldn't find a cork mat I liked. I also liked the look of it. I read zero reviews and had no clue the sound would change. I think my set up sounds 100% better with the acrylic mat YMMV. One thing I don't think that so called audiophiles get is that you cannot prove that one thing sounds better than another. All you can do is find what sounds best to you. Everybody has different hearing, and different things will sound different to different people.

Pretty close, shure it's a little more clear in high frequency. And i have the two stylus.

How does the Shure lack so much detail with a .2 x .7 elliptical? I'm always blown away by this. These two carts should not sound so similar. The Shure should sound much cleaner with that stylus, but it doesn't. In fact the AT95E sounds slightly more detailed to me.

I have both these cards and they're great but the m97xe is a real champ! As far as I'm concerned nothing beats and m97xe and it's too bad that sure doesn't make it anymore

The AT95 sounds like a Nakamichi 680z and the M97 sounds like a Realistic SCT-34

What’s funny is neither of these carts exist any longer and people want $350 for brand new ‘97s—which are just as basic sounding as a now-$70 AT cart that comes on every Hanpin.

They are pretty close, go for the cheapest

the vocals almost disappear into the at95 which is something the guitarist in the band probably loves but not why you listen to a song with a vocal on it. You cannot tell me you hear the it may not be the right time for us half as well as the so i shut my mouth part

what is that nasty looking proboscis hanging off the front of the 97 cart ?

Only long term listening of many different records will reveal the nuance differences... like low distortion, separation of instruments and freedom from listening fatigue. Expect the Shure to reign supreme after you've spent some time with them both. Most cheap ATs sound too harsh. Even over YouTube with this shit recording I can hear the Shure's lower distortion and cleaner resolution.

The quality of this recording is terrible

Who cares? They are only good as something to put in a cheap turntable, or for a good turntable a way to hear it. If you wish to hear the best music, try a multitude of line contact cartridges.
