fixing a fuse that blows immediately

I just want to say Thank You So Much for taking the time to create this video. I just created a tester using a Active Buzzer (no drivers needed). I used my blown fuse, and soldered the buzzer to the fuse's posts. I plugged it into my fuse box, and started jiggling the fuse box, jiggling the wires connected to the fuse box - nothing. I then started jiggling wires under the engine bay, and finally the buzzer started going nuts when I started pushing on a wire harness, and then when I would let off the wire harness, the buzzing would go away, so THANKS to your video, I now know the general area were my short is happening, now I just have to get out there again in the daylight, and find which wire (in the many wires in the harness) is rubbed through. Wow after hours of crawling under the truck and searching by sight, and finding nothing, this trick led me straight to the area at fault for my dead short just by jiggling wires around. So, thanks again for this great video. I think I may create a video of my own, and show how I made my tester and then show how to find the positive side of a fuse so the tester can be plugged in the correct way (and also link to this video ;) ). Awesome - truly awesome. It is great when people use their experience/knowledge and share it with others - as that is what I love to do myself. A big thumbs up for your time in doing this, and even after two years, your video is still helping people - God I love YouTube... ...And now I am your 61st subscriber 😉

This is a great idea. You don’t realize what I’ve been thru with this car. I did exactly what you described and it was a dead short in the passenger side window switch

Now that's what you call thinking with your head, thanks for the tip man! Working on a 1987 Chevy S10 and my ecm fuse keeps blowing instantly even with the computer disconnected an tryna find the right wire has been a headache.
