This video shows the process i go through to clean out my Aquascape ecosystem pond. This can be applied to a DIY ecosystem pond also. There is no need to remove the fish or drain the pond and pressure wash it. This took me 15 minutes and i do it once a year, that's it.

Loving your work mate. I’m in Plymouth U.K. and I have completed 3 ponds using your methods. Seriously considering starting a business. Thank you very much for your videos

I don't understand how I can use a syphon to clean a pond, since the water tank has to be higher than the bucket. But not in the case of a pond

Good to see ya again! I'm just curious- when it comes to cleaning out filters... do you think there is a 'too much too often' phase that may actually do more harm than good in relation to the healthy bacteria? Am I over cleaning I guess. I typically clean out my filters once a week as a weekend chore.. mainly bc I'm curious as to how well my basic home made system is working. Its been going for about 2 months now, and I just figured to much filtration was better than to little for the koi/goldfish.

Beautiful, i have several mini ponds, ™️, however I'm looking for the best shape and design for the large pond I'm installing in my backyard.

Thanks, great tips. I have just started my first 500 liter pond. and installled a dyi bog filter inspired by your experience and videos. Today I introduced the first two goldfish (Betty and Boris). You tell us best time to do this pond cleaning is before or after winter. Yet you do it in august? I figure i can wait until end of winter.

Is it ok to have a☺️ lot of green algae in chunks during winter on the edges. Will my koi eat it when the wake up? Or should I scoop it out

My fish are gasping and I really feel I should drain half of the water, eat and refill the pond at this time of the year. This will be my first time cos once asked the garden center and they told me to leave it as it is. Should I clean now or wait till autumn? Thanks for this video

Hi can you tell me what I’m doing wrong! The water in my pond is clear but I have green sediment on the pond floor, how do I get rid of this as I’d love to see the rocks on the bottom.

What's your thought about gravel vacuum? Is it fine to let the dirt under the gravel?

What skimmer are you using that is able to take a pump?

Hi Kev, I've made a bio filter around 1m2 using a centipede/snorkel and I'm having problems with water coming out of the top of the snorkel. Could it be the slots in the centipede are too small (it's a 110mm pipe for the centipede)? My pond is 6600ltr and I'm using an Oase 3500 pump. Grateful for any guidance.
