Family violence is a matter of life and death. That’s why Oxfam partner with family violence organisation Lifeline Port Moresby, to provide emergency support and shelter for survivors.

Grace is the Matron of Lifeline’s refuge home, and also works as a Lifeline counsellor. She too is a survivor of family violence. Her ex-husband abused her for three years before she went to the police and pressed charges.

This experience motivated Grace to be there for other women in their moment of need.
“My biggest hope for the ladies, I want the ladies to be free and they must know this place, those ladies who are suffering out there secretly. I want ladies to be free from problems.”
