I loved it, felt like how Joker would actually end up in the real world. He didnt get to be the leader because he choose to become Arthur Fleck, he learned from his past. Loved the music

I actually liked it and went to see it a second time, partially so I could see the scene where he sings "the joker is me" again. I love that scene! It's not a masterpiece and there were some things I didn't really like, but overall, I had a good experience.

(SPOILERS)The musical sections were all escapes within himself and with Harley he found someone like minded .they even found it at times easier to speak in lyrics as they are outsiders and sociably awkward And loner's until they found each other . I didn't think it was a bad film at all and the twist was really good and I respect Joaquin for letting it go that way .his character had endured lost his mind and come full circle with his idea talking to so many the joker killed him rather than let the idea rot away with him in Arkham as Joaquins character had started a chain of events that struck a chord with so many and produced two big characters .I think it'll become a film looked back on differently in the future

I honestly think people didn't understand the movie. i understand people expected THE JOKER, but if you watch it without that expectation and look at it as a mental health movie then youd enjoy it

Why do people say Gaga was under utilized...SHE WAS THE LITERAL LOVE INTEREST OF THE JOKER! The fact that they were only 2 films makes me upset. They literally could've done 3, at least with him ALSO at least breaking out early in the 2nd rather than whatever that was.

Edit: now that i think about it. It comes across like a depiction of "this is what it'd be like if the joker was a real incel"

I completely disagree. I think the whole point of the first movie was to explore Arthur’s descent into madness and thus becoming the joker, this movie continues to explore as he spirals more. The musical numbers add so much for 2 reasons. One they often start of with off key vocals and minimal instruments then there’s a tonal shift with causing a change to clearer vocals, more theatrics, and more ensemble. The musical number showcase when he is spiraling into madness, thus becoming the joker. The second reason is the music adds to him being an unreliable narrator, is he truly singing or is it in his head. The first movie show cased the importance of music to him with scenes of him dancing after the murder of the 3 people and this movie brings us straight into his mind when it’s happening. I think Harley and her role in this movie realizes the link in how music allows him to be taken by the madness which is why she sings to him, cause she like and wants the joker to come out. I think if you go into this movie with the expectation you are about to watch a man’s decent into madness (like the first one also was) you will come out loving it and appreciating the path the director took and the amazing execution by the actors. If you didn’t like it I think it’s because, like Harley, you fell in love with the joker when the story has always been about Arthur, the psychopathic antihero who killed 6 people.

I actually liked the film. I thought the musical aspect was fun but could have done with being more of a musical like it was originally intended to be. It was supposed to have more songs i think about 18 but lots got cut. I also didnt really like harley quinn much, i get that she obviously didnt have much to do because arthur wasnt the real joker but she did basically nothing the whole time

I like this movie quite a bit actually, but I'm gonna be mad as hell if they don't put the deleted scenes on the bluray.
