I’m ngl I found this to be a very interesting and creative way to open the movie as it really sets the tone of how Arthur loved being Joker in the first film but in this movie, he’s at war with himself and his Joker persona and wants to run from the Joker’s shadow.

Shadow-Joker gives back Fleck's clothes to hide inside his body and avoid being bitten by policemen for his crimes. All fault is assigned to Fleck, who was his prisoner.

This perfectly symbolized Arthur throughout the entire movie. The Joker persona is chaotic and unhinged and even if Arthur is beaten down by others and later killed, the Joker spirit will always live on and just find another host

I just realised that at 1:37, the loud cheer or scream from one of the crowd is actually the same cheer that Arthur does when he imagines himself at the Murray show in the audience in the first movie
