I just turned 60, waiting for my diagnosis. Been dealing with ADD my whole life. If I had known I had this 50 years ago I wonder what my life would be now.

I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!!! You've worked SO hard, and I am excited to listen to it (when I try to read a hard copy of a book, my ADHD goes, "Nope!")!

I felt really validated by this piece of the chapter right now. I am currently taking a class and struggling a lot. I always wanted to take this class and paid a lot of money for it and waited years before I signed up and the tasks I'm supposed to do are great and fun, but I just can't get myself to do them and I've missed deadlines for months now and am really frustrated and mad at myself every day that I think is going to be the day I'm finally productive.

This book sounds great!!!

I LOVE that you are so unapologetically YOU! Looking at your bookcase behind you, it's what YOU like and what appeals to YOU vs. What society typically dictates as appropriate adult decor! That is AWESOME!!!

I recall overhearing my (then) very dearest, closest friend talking to someone negatively about how I like unicorns and like stuffed animals (still), etc. For reference, I was 45 years old at the time and she scouffed at me being me - or course behind my back.
Well congrats on your book and/or the makings of your book and to you being YOU and staying true to YOU! ❤👏

I have a bunch of books that I've never finished reading (ADHD Life!), but I felt compelled to pre-order your book in audio form in the hope that I'll be more likely to actually consume it that way! As you say, it's not that I don't WANT to read your book, but my brain is hard to keep focused and motivated, even on things I want to do, hence why I know I'll benefit from your book like I benefit from your videos. Thank you and congratulations!

Would also love a pocket/small backpack sized version of this book but with only the tool box parts of each chapter 😂 then we have an on-the-go reference 😅

I struggle to wait for a package that takes more than two days to arrive - waiting two months for your book to come out is TORTUROUS 💜

Trying to start better habits at 29. Lots of listing "why." Lots of trying to get a reasonable schedule figured out to accomplish goals. And multiple days that turn into weeks of "tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, I mean it. I want it. I'll do it tomorrow..." ugh.

I'm so torn about this book and Dani's Anti Planner. They look so amazing and they're from creators that have really helped me, but I'm afraid they'll end up on my unread book stack and fuel my guilt and self depreciation about "not doing more". It's quite discouraging when the very thing they're made to help with holds me back from engaging with them.

I cant wait to read it!! I love how the layout is distinctly ADHD-friendly too. Concise language, easily readable text, engaging.
Theres a pschiatrist on YT (something-something gamer?? idr) who compiled a document for how to overcome ADHD challenges. And when criticized for it not being ADHD-friendly, his response was basically "sorry I cant compress this information into tiktoks". Having someone who knows ADHD from the inside write about it is SO valuable. It means so much to have a resource that is accessible AND helpful.

These are the same challenges I face with long-term goal sticktuitiveness. By the time I'm well into a goal I'm already looking beyond or outside of it.
Thank you for sharing!

I’ve not been this excited about a traditional book… probably ever? At least not one that isn’t a novel.
Your work over the years has been incredibly helpful to me, Jessica. I know I’m far from the only one. Thank you.

Finally, a book about ADHD has been designed for those of us who struggle with reading. The typography, line spacing, and use of negative space make a huge difference.
Thank you.

I CAN'T WAIT to have this book in my hands!!!

But, I'm now thinking I need two copies - one for me, because I like to keep my books pristine, and one that I can mark, underline, and highlight before handing to loved ones and saying "PLEASE READ THESE PARTS! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!"
😁

With this book coming out on my birthday, I feel like it's calling out to me to get it! As a birthday present to myself :)
I'm currently in the process of getting a referral to an organisation that might be able to determine if I do indeed have ADHD next to my Autism and Trauma. It's all because of your videos that I'm heavily suspecting ADHD is part of my blend of difficulties, so thank you so much!

I just pre-ordered your book! 😊
Let me explain: I never pre-order books. Nevaaa. Doesn’t happen. Ever!
But now I did! 😊 Looking forward to reading it!
Well done, Jessica! I’m so proud of you! 👍😊
