I'm a reservist in my country, in my pov being a reserved can become your part time income, if you're active enough as it's totally depends on your drill hours, I don't know the total incentive in the US but back in my country we can claims mileage and taxi fare if you did use taxi fare to go for your weekly training.

I’m an adjuster as well and let me tell you as you move up it gets better. I have been as high as 120k but no life, and cut back to smaller company at 70 now with a yearly bonus so 85. But, by next year should be 90 something and with the bonus 100.
