This was filmed like 15 years ago (her daughters are teenagers now), and what impresses me is how current it still feels. Good design is timeless.

Just wish we all had 1% of Sarah's suppliers, craftsmen, used furniture, fabric, reupholsterers and budget. Every decision, except the whimsy of 'repurposing' seems unsullied by cost. And to see this camaraderie among the crew, on an island AND on a timetable, is, well, incredible. Can't tell this project is almost 20 years old because Sarah's design is timeless, beautiful and chic.

I can watch these over and over again, it really keeps me thinking for my next project. I know i have seen this cottage show before but the tub is so beautiful and dont remember it at all, perfect for our remodel in our very small bathroom, wonder if i can get a bump out, crazy about those linen closets too but where.

Can you share any links to Solar Companies that install this system ? How about any links that teaches what we need to know to successfully buy just the right form of solar energy? Thanks !

Watch everything I can from SR for cool ideas, problem-solving, and solutions. Green solar, followed by "overland" flight for vanity top though...? Just sayin'.

I think if you’re powering about in motor boats and private planes, you do need to “conserve a lot of energy” somewhere.

What's with the family bathrooms? You always seem to build them. You could have easily added a shower to the powder room. Most people bathe or shower every day. Why are you so against it? I would much rather have 2 smaller bathrooms with some kind of shower, than one big "family bathroom."

Couldn't you have gotten taller thinner faucets instead of changing the vanity top?
