Sulfates made my hair flourish let me tell u that. I’m tired hearing those “instructions” everywhere and thinking of those poor people listening and following every step. ( I was certainly a victim of hair “influencers” influencing me and wasted a ton of money and was left with more dry damaged hair.) I understand that it may come from a person whose those steps worked for. But putting it in way like it’s the only way to a healthy hair is just being uneducated and inconsiderate. For anyone who needs help with their hair. Please understand your porosity and go up from there. Do your OWN research always cause one product/ method could react differently to each person👍🏻

Sulfate free shampoos are horrible on my Jaír. I gave three different types a try and always the same. My hair was limp, dull and had this greasy feeling - almost like it had a film on it. Right after washing.

Sulfates and silicones are GOOD for hair, this is the most widespread hair myth and I can say in my own experience my hair got way worse when I tried to avoid them. Please do not believe everything you hear on the internet

So how do we clarify our scalp and product/dirt build up without clarifying shampoo which do have sulphates? I knew that low porosity hair requires sulphate shampoo.

Regularly massaging my scalp with a scalp massager during shampooing, combined with using littllllextra coocoonion, oil and shampoo has made a good difference in reducing my hair fall. Leaving my hair feeling cleaner, and hair fall has reduced overall.

Genetics play a big role. I have very thick, slightly wavy, coarse hair. It can withstand a lot even harsh shampoos. It’s just not soft…

Using a mild sulphate shampoo is good for hair as it cleanses well than sulphate free shampoos. My hair does better using sulphate shampoo but yes the quantity of shampoo used matters. Sulphate free shampoos have never cleaned my scalp thoroughly.

If you use clarifying shampoos daily rather than weekly, you would dry your hair out but You NEED to use a sulfate-based shampoo once a week or so to remove product residue from your hair. Dermatologists recommend alternating your sulfate-free shampoo with a clarifying one. Also, I actually had wonderful results recently using a chelating shampoo to remove minerals from my hair because of the hard water in my area. All the oils, conditioners and sulfate-free shampoos were not making a difference previously.

What about silicone containing conditioners? Are those good? Do you use them?

I have oily and thin hair, and I tried sulphate-free shampoos. first of all, dermathologists recommend using shampoos with sulphates to get het rid of the grease that accumulates in ur scalp. they can be drying, but that's why you need to oil it and hydrate it properly. my recommendation is if your hair isn't that oily or you feel like shampoos with sulphates dry your scalp too much you can use it once a week and the other hair wash days one sulphate free, consult a dermathologist or a hair expert for accurate advise for your own hair type

I want to ask, you are saying that our hair absorbs the most moisture when wet but when we apply conditioner or hair mask why always apply it to damp or dry hair?
